Portrait of JD ParkerThe Institute for Real Estate Studies’ Real Estate Society is pleased to announce J.D. Parker, ’03, has been named Chairperson for the New York City Region.  J.D. is First Vice President and District Manager for Marcus & Millichap’s New York’s Tri-State regional offices and managed in excess of $4.5 billion in transactions.  J.D. has been a long time, enthusiastic supporter of the Institute and student engagement.  He has mentored real estate students, offered internships and participated in regional alumni meetings.

Larry Colorito, ’88, Chairperson for the Real Estate Society initiative, is thrilled have J.D. leading the NYC Chapter.  “J.D.’s leadership will strengthen ties among the hundreds of Penn Staters in real estate in greater New York, Colorito stated.”

The formalization of the Real Estate Society (RES) represents the next step in the Institute’s mission of alumni engagement.  Regional RES chapters will play a critical role going forward.  Formal structuring will lead to fresh networking opportunities among the Alum and strengthen their relationship with real estate scholarship at the University.
